Changing Image Orientation

Main window

MultiTracer allows images to displayed in any orientation of your choosing. Note that the orientation used for display has no effect whatsoever on any image volumes generated or saved from MultiTracer.

If the main window is not the active window, click on it to make it active

To flip the current display upside down:
From the "Orient" menu, select "Flip Display Vertical
To flip the current display left for right:
From the "Orient" menu, select "Flip Display Horizontal
To rotate the current display 90°:
  1. Select the "Orient" menu
  2. Note which of the "Display x y z=..." menu items is currently checked
  3. If the currently checked item is the 1st, 3rd, or 5th, select the item below it
  4. If the currently checked item is the 2nd, 4th, or 6th, select the item above it
To switch among transverse, coronal and sagittal views:
From the "Orient" menu, select a different "Display x y z=..." item

Orthogonal windows

MultiTracer shows orthogonal views of the data in smaller windows that are initially positioned to the right of the main menu. If these smaller windows are obscured, from the "Edit" menu, select "Refresh Display". This should bring reposition these windows in the proper location.

To adjust the orientation in the orthogonal view windows click on the window you want to alter:

To flip the selected orthogonal display upside down:
From the "Orient" menu associated with the window, select "Flip Display Vertical"
To flip the selected orthogonal display right for left:
From the "Orient" menu associated with the window, select "Flip Display Horizontal"
To rotate the selected orthogonal display 90°:
From the "Orient" menu associated with the window, select "Swap Display Axes"
To switch among transverse, coronal and sagittal views:
Adjust the orientation in the main display window; the orthogonal views automatically adapt to views orthogonal to the main window
