If you correct images for anisotropic voxels or magnify images, the images must be interpolated before they are displayed. By default, MultiTracer is set to the most accurate, but also the slowest interpolation method (FFT/Chirp-z). With this interpolation method, integer magnification values can be noticeably faster than non-integer values and odd integers can be faster than a smaller even integer. This is the result of mathematical simplications that are possible for integers in general and odd integers in particular.
The interpolation method is irrelevant if you do not magnify images and display them anisotropically.
